Improv for Care: Free 6 Week Caregiving Class
January 10 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm PST
Caregiving, be it face-to-face or at a distance, is a labor of love. Most of us aren’t trained to be caregivers, we just keep doing what we are doing and suddenly find ourselves in the midst of a situation with lots of questions and concerns, and little preparation. That’s why we developed Improv for Care! So you and your loved one can continue, together, to have the best life possible.
In our fun classroom setting, you will experience and learn new methods for caring for your loved one and facing the challenges of being a care partner. Learn new communication tips for your whole family and gain new insight into moving from feelings of powerlessness to hope while crafting a new and creative way to enjoy your loved one and get your work done. Led by Improv Instructors Derek Shipman and Marcus Weiss with support from Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health staff, we hope you’ll join us!
Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health has joined with Second City, the famous improv group from Chicago, and Caring Across Generations, a caregiving advocacy and support network, to bring you this exciting opportunity.
