Caregiver Resources

Caring for a person with Alzheimer’s disease demands full-time care, dedicated attention, and changes in traditional family roles. Researchers are continuing to look for new and better ways to support caregivers.

Becoming well-informed about the disease is one important strategy. Many programs teach caregivers about the stages of Alzheimer’s and provide guidance on the challenges that caregivers face. The National Institute of Health (NIH) has developed a series of tip sheets to help caregivers.
